- Prof. Dr. Ayla Guven graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1986 and completed her mandatory service at Ege University Chest Diseases Bornova Tuberculosis Dispensary.
- She pursued her specialization in Child Health and Diseases at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine and became a pediatric specialist in 1993.
- In 2000, she began her subspecialty training in Pediatric Endocrinology at Gazi University and earned her specialist title in December 2002.
- In April 2003, she joined Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine as an assistant professor and worked at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, USA, between May and November 2003.
- Upon returning to Turkey, she continued her work at Ondokuz Mayıs University, where she contributed to Turkey’s first Pediatric Endocrinology subspecialty training clinic, helping train one specialist.
- She earned the title of Associate Professor on March 13, 2006.
- Since December 2006, she has served at Goztepe Training and Research Hospital, where she was appointed head of the Pediatric Endocrinology clinic in November 2008 and initiated the hospital’s first subspecialty training program in March 2009.
- Between 2009 and 2017, she trained five Pediatric Endocrinology specialists, many of whom later achieved academic titles as professors and associate professors.
- From 2017 to 2021, she served as a training instructor at Health Sciences University Zeynep Kamil Hospital for Children and Women, and from 2021 to 2024, she worked at Baskent University Istanbul Hospital before retiring from public service.
- She is an active member of the Endocrine Society, the Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology Society,the National Pediatric Association, and the Istanbul Medical Chamber.
