Dr. Vikas Gupta is a highly experienced Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon, with 32 years of expertise in the field.
He specializes in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine, with a focus on hand and shoulder surgeries. He is also the first surgeon in India to perform ceramic-on-ceramic wrist replacement.
Over his extensive career, Dr. Gupta has successfully performed over 6,000 complex surgeries on the hand, upper extremities, and shoulders.
His treatments include advanced therapies such as heat therapy, shoulder replacement, joint mobilization, ACL and PCL reconstruction, and back pain management.
He addresses Kienbock’s disease, triangular fibrocartilage complex tears, wrist injuries, De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, radial and median nerve injuries, flexor tendon injuries, scaphoid fractures, rheumatoid arthritis, GCT of the tendon sheath, and Dupuytren’s contracture.
Dr. Gupta completed his MBBS in 1992 and his MS in Orthopaedics in 1995, both from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
He further enhanced his skills with specialized fellowships, including a Fellowship in Hand Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, USA, and an AO Fellowship in Freiberg, Germany.
Dr. Gupta has also been awarded several prestigious fellowships, such as the Traveling Fellowship from the Delhi Orthopedic Association, the World Orthopedic Concern Fellowship for Hand Surgery, and the Indian Orthopedic Association’s Traveling Fellowship (Johnson & Johnson).
