Dr. Ram Chidambaram is a highly experienced Orthopedic Surgeon based in Chennai, with over 32 years of clinical practice.
He has an extensive surgical record, having performed 4,500 keyhole surgeries, 1,100 joint replacements, and 3,000 trauma surgeries.
Specializing in sports medicine, he focuses on injuries related to the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand.
He earned his MBBS from Thanjavur Medical College, Dr. MGR Medical University, in 1992.
He further specialized in orthopedics, obtaining a Diploma in Orthopedics (1996) and an MS (Orthopedics) (1997) from Trivandrum Medical College, University of Kerala.

He has held prestigious positions, including President of the Shoulder & Elbow Society of India (2017-2021).
Dr. Chidambaram is an esteemed member of several organizations, including the AO Trauma Group, the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the Indian Orthopaedic Society – UK (IOS UK), the General Medical Council – UK, the British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS), the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the Indian Arthroscopy Society, and the Tamil Nadu Orthopaedic Association (TNOA)
He was honored with the Presidential Gold Medal by Dr. Peter Brownson, President of BESS, in recognition of his contributions to upper limb surgery and his efforts to advance Indian orthopedics.
