• Dr. Upadhyay has played a leadership role in enhancing India’s healthcare systems, improving medical education, and promoting gastroenterology as a specialty, serving as a postgraduate teacher and thesis guide for DNB students.
• Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay published the world’s first paper on the interaction between H. Pylori and NSAIDs in 1986, which became one of the most cited papers in the field.
• He has authored over 100 academic papers and chapters in national and international journals and books. 
• Additionally, Dr. Upadhyay has delivered more than 200 presentations at various state, regional, and national conferences across India, showcasing his vast expertise and contributions to medical knowledge.
