Dr. (Prof.) Ravi Sahuta is an Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon with over 36 years of experience.
His expertise includes managing polytrauma patients and performing limb salvage surgeries, especially for large bone tumors.
He specializes in pelvic-acetabular surgery, adult joint reconstruction, and revision joint surgery for failed joints.
He led and developed the Orthopedics department at Paras Hospital from 2006 to 2016, establishing sub-specialties.
Dr. Sahuta completed his MBBS from Nagpur University in 1988 and MS (Orthopedics) from KMU Institute of Medical Sciences in 1991.
He obtained an Advanced Orthopedic Fellowship from the Bombay Orthopaedic Society (BOS) in 1993, a Wockhardt Spine Fellowship in Bombay in 1995, and MCh (Orthopedics) from Sychil University, USA, in 2012.
He has fellowship training in pelvic-acetabular surgery and adult joint reconstruction from Regions Hospital at the University of Minnesota.
He has also received fellowship training in the United States and Korea, focusing on arthroplasty and spine procedures.
Dr. Sahuta trained in the Ilizarov Method at Dr. Kulkarni’s Centre in Miraj, Maharashtra, in 1991, and in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at LT General Hospital, Sion, Bombay, in 1992.
He is a member of various professional organizations including the Indian Orthopedic Association, Haryana Medical Council, Chandigarh, Bombay Medical Council, Mumbai, Bombay Orthopedic Society, Indian Foot Society, Trauma Society of India, AO Trauma Association, Indian Orthobiologics Society (IBOM), Indian Orthopedic Global Academy (IOGA), Gurgaon Orthopedic Society (GOS), Indian Rheumatology Association, and Indian Health Organisation.
Dr. (Prof.) Ravi Sahuta has authored over 20 scientific publications and possesses more than 10 years of teaching experience in medical schools.
He completed an AO foreign Fellowship in Pelvic & Acetabular Surgery and Adult Joint Reconstruction at Regions Hospital, USA, and received fellowship training in arthroplasty and spine at various centers in the United States and South Korea.
Additionally, he holds a certificate in Rheumatology and is recognized as a faculty member for various AO/ASIF training courses.
Dr. Sahuta is also an IOF and ISCD certified trainer for osteoporosis and serves as a faculty and trainer for leading medical organizations including OA, DePuy Synthes, J&J, Stryker, Zimmer, Medtronic, and IOSPL.
