Dr. Ganesh Shivnani specializes in performing both routine and complex cardiac surgeries, including Coronary Artery Bypass, valve repairs and replacements, aortic surgery, and procedures for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and Congenital Heart Disease.
He is also skilled in pulmonary thromboendarterectomy and minimally invasive cardiac surgeries.
Dr. Ganesh Shivnani completed his MBBS in 1984 and MS in General Surgery in 1989, both from SMS Medical College, Jaipur.
He later pursued an M.Ch in Cardio Thoracic Surgery from Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore, in 1994.
He is one of the few cardiac surgeons featured in the Limca Book of Records twice, in 2012 and 2016, for his exceptional success in bypass surgeries.
In 2012, he performed 433 bypass surgeries with zero in-hospital deaths, earning his first Limca record.
In 2016, he surpassed this achievement, performing 446 bypass surgeries without any fatalities from February 2013 to February 2015.
With a career spanning nearly 30 years, Dr. Shivnani has performed over 10,000 bypass surgeries and has earned widespread respect from fellow cardiac surgeons in India.
His remarkable 100% success rate extends not only to bypass surgeries but also to valve repairs and replacements.
Dr. Shivnani’s success is largely attributed to the rigorous training he received at Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, where he completed his M.Ch in Cardiac Surgery in 1994.
He has published numerous research papers in reputed national and international journals.
