Dr. Dinesh Khullar serves as Chairman, Department of Nephrology and Renal Transplant Medicine at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi.
With over 37 years of experience in renal transplant medicine, Dr. Khullar has been part of over 5,000 successful kidney transplants, including 1,200 at Max Hospital, Saket.
His expertise lies in High Risk Kidney Transplant patients including ABO – incompatibility & highly sensitized transplant recipient, Newer Dialysis Modalities & Peritoneal Dialysis, Induction therapy in Kidney Transplant Patients, and Infections related to Kidney Diseases.
He oversees the development, quality control, clinical governance, as well as physician hiring, credentialing, and academic activities for the DNB and clinical fellowship program, along with research initiatives.
His expertise includes performing complex transplants, such as ABO-incompatible, high-risk transplants, and cases involving highly sensitized recipients or significant comorbidities.
He established north India’s first online hemodiafiltration unit for advanced dialysis at Max Hospital.
Dr. Khullar has led various research projects and served as the national lead investigator in clinical trials, such as DAPA-CKD and Transform.
He has numerous publications in national and international journals and has authored the book “Lupus Nephritis-Pathogenesis & Current Management”.
