• Dr. Anil Bhan is a distinguished Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon with over 43 years of experience.
• He specializes in aortic valve surgery and is recognized for having the most extensive expertise in aortic surgery in India.
• He has successfully conducted over 15,000 cardiac and vascular surgeries, including heart transplants, pediatric cardiac surgeries, aortic aneurysm surgeries, valve repairs, and peripheral vascular surgeries.
• In addition to his surgical skills, Dr. Bhan has developed over 50 innovative instruments for cardiac procedures, showcasing his commitment to enhancing surgical outcomes.
• As one of Delhi/NCR's premier pediatric cardiac surgeons, he made headlines in 2007 by performing heart bypass surgery on the youngest patient in India at just 18 months old.
• Dr. Bhan introduced groundbreaking techniques in India, such as the first extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in 2000 and the use of a harmonic scalpel for harvesting radial mammary artery conduits in 1995.
