Visa Requirements

Ghanaian nationals must obtain a Medical Visa before traveling to India for healthcare services. Based on the treatment duration and complexity, there are two types of medical visas available:

• Regular Medical Visa:
  Best suited for comprehensive or long-term treatments. Must be applied for through the High Commission of India in Accra.
• e-Medical Visa:
  Ideal for short-term treatments and can be applied for online without visiting the embassy.

Visa Invitation

To begin your visa application process, you will need an official Medical Invitation Letter from a recognized hospital in India.

Eligible for E Visa

Citizens of Algeria are eligible for the Indian e-Medical Visa.

E Visa Fees

USD 80

Regular Visa Fees

• Regular Medical Visa: USD 80
• Medical Attendant Visa: USD 80

Visa Duration

• e-Medical Visa: Valid for 60 days from the date of arrival in India and allows triple entry.
• Regular Medical Visa: Typically valid for up to 6 months or as recommended by the treating hospital. Can be extended within India by the FRRO/FRO on medical grounds.

E Visa Application

Required documents: Personal details, passport copy, recent photograph, and hospital invitation letter.

After paying the visa fee, the approved visa is emailed. It is valid for up to 6 months.

Visa Application

Upload the required documents including your passport copy, photo, and invitation letter. Once the payment is made, the visa is emailed to you and remains valid for 60 days.
