Visa Requirements

All Ugandan passport holders (including ordinary, official, and diplomatic) must obtain a visa to travel to India for medical treatment.

Patients from Uganda can apply for either a Regular Medical Visa through the High Commission of India in Kampala or an e-Medical Visa online.

A Medical Invitation Letter from a recognized Indian hospital is mandatory for both types of visas.

Visa Invitation

A dedicated Case Manager from Al Afiya Medi Tour coordinates with the treating hospital in India.

The Case Manager assists in arranging and sharing the Visa Invitation Letter required for the visa application process.

Eligible for E Visa

Yes, citizens of Uganda are eligible to apply for an e-Medical Visa for treatment in India.

E Visa Fees

USD 102.00 .

Regular Visa Fees

USD 102.00 (Single Entry).

Visa Duration

6 months, or the duration of medical treatment, whichever is less.

An extension of up to 6 additional months can be granted by the FRRO/FRO based on the patient’s medical condition and necessity.

E Visa Application

Required documents: Personal details, passport copy, recent photograph, and hospital invitation letter.

After paying the visa fee, the approved visa is emailed. It is valid for up to 6 months.

After completing the application and fee payment, the visa approval will be sent via email. It is valid for up to 6 months from the date of arrival in India.
