About Dr. Rajeev Sood

• Dr. Rajeev Sood is a renowned and most experienced Nephrologist.
• He has over 44 years of experience in this field.
• His expertise lies in treating many urological conditions including Renal Transplantation, Green Laser Prostate Surgery, Penile Implantation, Laparoscopic Urology, and Uro-oncology.

• He is a recipient of the prestigious Vishisht Seva Medal, awarded for his exceptional contributions to medical services in the Armed Forces.
• Dr. Sood performed the first-ever cadaver renal transplant and the first laparoscopic live donor nephrectomy in the Armed Forces, highlighting his pioneering role in transplant surgeries.
• He introduced HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) in 1999 and later became the first to launch the High Energy Green Light Laser Prostatectomy program in India in 2003.
• With over 3000 successful renal transplants to his credit, Dr. Sood has established himself as a leading renal transplant surgeon in the country.
• Dr. Rajeev completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from AFMC, Pune in 1980 and 1986, respectively.
• After this, he completed his MCh in Urology and DNB in Urology from AIIMS in 1993.
