Dr. A.J. Chitkara is a renowned and leading Pediatrician in India.
He has over 44 years of experience in this field.
His expertise lies in treating and managing Hepatitis Vaccines, Infant Feeding Practices & Morbidity, Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology diagnosis of Histiocytosis, Midbrain Tuberculoma, Sexual Precocity in Primary Hypothyroidism, and Aplasia Cutis Congenita.
Dr. Chitkara completed his MBBS and MD in Pediatrics from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), University of Delhi.
After this, he completed DNB in Pediatrics from National Board of Examination, Delhi, India in 1983.
He also completed various fellowships including FIAP and did Advanced Course of Vaccinology (ADVAC) training from France in 2008.
He is associated with many organizations including the Asian Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ASPID) and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Immunization.
Dr. A.J. Chitkara served as the Chairperson of the Infectious Diseases Chapter of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) in 2014 and was the Convener of the Science of Vaccinology Program (2006-2009), aiming to develop pediatric immunization experts across India.
He was also the Convener of the Collaborative Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI) Program (2010-2012), a joint initiative of the Ministry of Health, Government of India, and IAP.
His keen interest in research resulted in the publication of numerous research papers in reputed national and international journals.
