Dr. Sumant Gupta completed his MBBS from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, in 2005 and MD (Internal Medicine) from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, in 2010.
He pursued his DM (Medical Oncology) at the Cancer Institute (WIA), Adyar, Chennai, graduating in 2015.
Dr. Gupta has received multiple accolades, including the TYSA Young Scholar Award for Best DM Oncology Fellow (2015).

He currently serves as the Joint Secretary for the Indian Society of Oncology and the Breast Cancer Foundation of India.
