Dr. Rinku Sen Gupta Dhar is a highly regarded Obstetrician & Gynecologist practicing in Malviya Nagar, Rosewalk, and Panchsheel Park, Delhi, with extensive expertise in maternity and women’s healthcare.
With over 25 years of active experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology, she has played a crucial role in maternity care, high-risk pregnancies, and gynecological procedures.
She has a special interest in reducing medical interventions in maternity care, focusing on minimizing cesarean sections and routine episiotomies, as well as expertise in colposcopy, operative hysteroscopy, and minimally invasive gynecological procedures like laparoscopy.
Dr. Rinku was a BMJ finalist in India in 2014 for her pioneering work on reducing cesarean sections in a non-profit hospital in urban India, highlighting her commitment to evidence-based and patient-centered care.
She has been a co-investigator in multiple maternity care research projects in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and has contributed significantly to improving maternal healthcare outcomes.
She completed her MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, followed by post-graduation and senior residency at the University College of Medical Sciences. She further specialized in Gynae Oncology through training at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital.
Her contributions include over 25 national and international publications, along with leadership in quality improvement initiatives such as optimizing antibiotic use in low-risk laboring women to enhance patient safety.
Dr. Rinku is a mentor for the Government of India’s LaQshya Initiative for Quality Improvement (QI) projects, which aims to improve maternal and newborn care in hospitals.
She is an active member of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Delhi (AOGD) and serves as an executive member of the Safe Motherhood Committee and the Gynae Endoscopy Committee of AOGD.
As a lead trainer, she has conducted numerous CTG (Cardiotocography) workshops across Delhi, equipping healthcare professionals with the skills to monitor fetal well-being during pregnancy and labor effectively.
