Prof. Ali Fedakar is a renowned and highly experienced Cardiovascular Surgeon.
He has over 24 years of experience in this field.
His expertise includes adult peripheral vascular surgeries, abdominal aortic aneurysm surgeries, aorto-occlusive disease management, varicose vein and carotid surgeries, along with lung, emergency thoracic, and cardiac surgeries.
He completed his specialization in Cardiovascular Surgery at Cukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 1998, focusing on adult cardiovascular conditions.
In 2001, he played a pivotal role in establishing the Cardiovascular Surgery clinic at SSK Sureyyapasa Hospital, contributing to the development of cardiac surgical services.
He was instrumental in initiating the first cardiovascular surgeries at both Giresun State Hospital and Sinop State Hospital under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Ali Fedakar.
From 2003 to 2005, he worked as a Consultant Surgeon at the Private Switzerland Hospital.
Between 2005 and 2017, he served as a Consultant Adult Cardiac Surgeon at Kosuyolu Heart Hospital, where he performed nearly 4,000 open-heart surgeries.
He was an active member of the Heart Transplant Team at Kartal Koşuyolu Training and Research Hospital from 2010 to 2015.
During his transplant tenure, he conducted heart retrievals from donors for about 40 patients and successfully performed 8 heart transplants as the Primary Surgeon.
