• Dr. V. P. Singh is a leading and highly experienced Neurosurgeon in India.
• He has nearly 42 years of experience in neurosurgery, covering cranial, spinal, and peripheral nerve surgeries.
• He holds a special interest in brain tumor surgery, cerebrovascular surgery, epilepsy surgery, and radiosurgery techniques.
• Dr. Singh has performed over 400 intracranial aneurysm surgeries and plays an active role in treating arteriovenous malformations using radiosurgery.
• He earned his MBBS degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in 1982, followed by an MCh from the same institution in 1987.
• He also obtained his DNB from the National Board of Examinations in 1989.
• He is credited with launching the Gamma Knife Unit and the epilepsy surgery program at AIIMS New Delhi, where he served as Additional Professor and Unit Head of Neurosurgery.
• Dr. Singh also worked at VIMHANS, New Delhi, alongside his mentor Prof. A. K. Banerji.
• In 2007, he joined Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, as a Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon, continuing his work with Prof. Banerji.
• His contributions have greatly advanced neurosurgery practices in India, particularly in radiosurgery and epilepsy treatment.
• He is an esteemed member of several professional organizations, including the Journal of Pediatric Neurosurgery, the Neurological Society of India, and the Indian Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery's Executive Committee.
• Additionally, he serves as the Secretary of the Indian Society of Cerebrovascular Surgery and is the President of the Indian Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery.
